It must be my 14cm exhaust housing, mine was LOOOUUUUD!!! Or I'm too old. The turbo chattering/chirping was so loud under bridges and when I would pass people, we would all have to roll up our windows. It was fun at first, but got old in a work truck as much as I drive.

Just got the 5" magnaflow mandrale (spelling) bent with 6 inch tip.....pulling fifth wheel (12,ooo lbs) in 1-3 gears hums pretty good in the cab , but rest of the gears back to being quite.. have seen definate mileage increase with and without a load..

I have a 5" straight pipe, but its not the MBRP system. I towed a 26 ft. enclosed trailer weighing around 10k this past weekend. Cruising at 70mph the drone is not bad until you head up a hill, then it gets a lil loud. Had it up to 80mph when passing, and you can barely hear anything.

I've also got the $310 dollar special
I'm running a 51" Donaldson muffler 5" in/out, since I don't like to draw too much attention.
I'm running the full 5" downpipe and my kitty ran away from home. I don't get drone at all while running empty, towing the drone seems to get louder the higher up I go on the Smarty software ladder. But it's barely noticable on the lower settings.

doing any exhaust mod and not doing turbo back is like asking your cousin out and hoping to get some

I run the 5" on my truck and do not have room for my spare BFG M/T under the bed. I just throw it in if I am going on a long trip. As far as the sound, I love it more than my 4" MBRP that I had on there before.
