Maybe I'll just go to a dealer and drive some like it and make up my own mind.
Thanks again for your answers/opinions.
Well, it seems like right about here is where BlackPuff_Gone realized he got threadjacked........ sorry, it started out as a good thread/question.

Trans

I don't know why eyeryone keeps trying to reinvent the wheel. If you go to DTT's web site it will tell you everything you want to know. Why keep guessing!

The defueling between shifts drives me crazy on a Dura/ally. But I love the low first and 6th gear. I drove a new 6.7 dodge with the new 6 speed, I like it better than the ally, not near as much defueling between shifts.

I've put programmers in both my trucks, noticed trans slip in both, went back to stock on both, and bought a GTO.

Revisit- Solved the mystery

The reason the tranny was shifting strange was because the tires had Max pressure, 70 front- 80 rear.

I adjusted the pressure to no load, 45 front - 40 rear, and the symptoms I described are not near as pronounced as before. When I first let the air out, it felt like the truck was glued to the ground compared to before. I've got used to it it now.

So, I suppose the extra amount of torque required by the tranny makes it shift smoother.

I think someone tried to tell me the tranny liked to be used.
