48re pump failure

had DC replace front pump at 25000. truck sat at dealer for 3 weeks (parts were on backorder).... here we are at 35000 at its leaking at the inspection plate again and slipping with iratic shifting. My question is does low pressure damage clutches, TC, etc.. ? and what pressures are to low?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Slipping damages clutches. Would not damage TC in all probability. Clutches should be inspected due to slipage and perhaps KD band is badly worn from low pressure 1 - 2 upshift. The evidence will be in pan for damage.

I think it is time to check trans to engine alignment. The dowel pins are located wrong and it is wearing on the side-top/bottom/left/right, of the bushing.

can this cause pump failure? any really noticable damage to look at? I eventually want to put an aftermarket tranny in but I want to make sure I'm not replacing pump after pump

When you get the converter out, take a look at the bushing in the pump. If the wear is only on one side, you have found the problem.
