long story short...i just got a 03 truck.
Will the Goerands tranny out of my 01
work in my 03 if i switched them before selling the 01 truck?

 

On the surface I would say yes, but there may be differences that would make that impractical... My best suggestion is call Dave... He will know!

 

Swap the guts from case to case will work. The 01 will bolt in fine but the neutral safety switches are different beteen the years as is the mountin hole. The 01 case will need to be machined to accept the 03 range controllerand you will have to change some internal pieces on the top of the VB.
