48 Re tranny temp

what temp range should my transmission be running at. Right now empty on an 85* day its hitting 190F on my guage but im not sure where Mopac put the sender unit.

Im running a Double Deep Mag-Hytec pan and the temp probe is in the pan.

My temps, unloaded, seem to hover around 140-160 most of the time on a average to warm day. On a hot day, or if I accelerate hard a few times at some red lights it will go up to about 170-180. Maybe slightly higher on a 100 plus degree day and some stop and go.

My guess if you are running the stock pan, you are probably about normal at 190.
