3ed event elimination

I have a buddy in electronics we looked into it and we can build a 3ed event elimination box plug and play. we feel it will save fuel and gain MPG.
What do you guys think?
Would there be a market for something like this..
It would work on all the 600 and 610 engines.

Seems to me that a lot of guys have been curious about disabling the third injection event ... but in my thinking you'd have to also do a catectomy so that the kittly doesn't clog up! yes? no??

I am not volunteering to be a guinee pig but I am very interested. I am all for increased mpg and more power would be a great thing too. You may also want to check on if the box would be compatible with other boxes. I have already performed a meow meow bang bang as many others have so if the box did improve power and more importantly mpg I think there would definately be a market for it.

3rd Event

Everybody's right. The 3rd event elimination will result in increased MPG. However the 3rd event also puts some fuel in the exhaust to keep the cat hot (making fuel burn, heats up the catalist) The cat on an exhaust will be very hot where the muffler won't be. I don't know how "much" faster it would clog up, but it would clog up faster without the event. I love the sound of my truck now, without cat it's way to loud. Wish I could take it off, put another muffler on it (there's an idea) to solve it.

Strictly for off-highway, racing applications of course. I might be interested in something like this too. Heck, if we're shutting off the 3rd event, why not the first one too for maximum mileage? I don't mind the noise, and I'm sure there are others....

If Im going to be strictly off road Racing I think I may have to remove the cat.

How will this effect boxes that plug directly into the injector harness like the TST and Edge?

Will there be a loss in power on a stock truck if the 3rd even is eliminated? (How about on a modified truck?)

We have had lengthy discussions on eliminating the 3rd event in the past. Mostly from non-bombers just wanting the mileage gain. I think if you make it, you won’t be able to make them fast enough to keep up with demand. Fill out your patent paperwork now!

I believe the issue of converter clogging came down to this; it won't "clog" per se, but the converter catalyst will be "poisioned" such that it cannot do it's job. I don't know if it would recover if the 3rd event was re-enabled. There have been many discussions on this topic, I am certianly no expert on the converter topic.

I'm an EE also and have interest in making a PnP device to elimiante the 3rd event.
