The highest weight capacity rating for a 17" tire that I've seen are Toyo Open Country MT 37x13.5 - 4300# per tire.

Great stuff if you are heavy & don't like flat tires!

yeah i looked at the goodyears but i cant fit them with just a level kit. i like the toyos. i have heard lots of good stuff about them and little bad. does anyone have experience with them and is it good or bad? how much did it affect the fuel mileage. i have some d rated 33" tires on there and they have a roll in them with 50 psi. i need a tire that will hold up to the weight of the truck with some heavy towing. but i want the rpm reduction of the 35's for highway mileage

I have the 35" toyo m/t's and love them, they look and ride great with little road noise compared to other mud tires i"ve had although at first it did take a little while to get used to them compared to the stock tires I was running. They do handle a little different but rpm reduction was great for me as I drive mostly freeway and they dropped rpm's about 400 over the stock 265's.

I recently purchased ProComp X-Treme All Terrrain in load range e and they seem to be really great tires I've always had Mud terrains but I wanted to try something a little quieter but still have good aggression and they seem to fit the bill. Sorry just realized you are looking for 35's these are 33x12.5x17

Im on my second set of Toyo Open Country MT's 37x13.5x17 for my truck.

I havent had a better tire for any vehicle or truck. I have had procomps, Mickey Thompsons, Goodyear ( which are hellish to balance btw) and the toyo BY far are the best. I live in Canada and we get snow and icey roads in the winter sometimes..and the Toyo's out perform any tire. And I get about 35,000km out of them ( I take them off if they have 25% tread left.) They are a bit more pricey compared to others but when you compare the performance and quality and longevity they are the better deal.

I have modified vehicle insurance on my truck and that was once stipulation that I have E rated tires only on the diesel.
