i was thinking on putting a set of toyo open country m/t 35x12.5/16 of my truck.

i was wondering if these tires would rub and if so what could i do to fix the proablem? also would these tires fit on my stock rims or would i need new rims too?

Uh. Stock wheels are 17's. And if youi have a way to SAFELY put 16's on a 3rd gen than let us know! I have several buddies that put 16.5's on their trucks, but only after much grinding of the brake caliper.

I don't think they would work with a stock truck. Guys with a 2in leveling kit have been able to fit the MT 35x12.50, but i have heard of a few rubbing the back of the front wheel well when turning while suspension is cycling (only on one side, drivers i think, because the leveling kit pulls the axle off center). I have seen 33's on a stock truck, looked like a good fit...

Mine are ok

I just put 315's BFG ATs on my 06 4WD that is stock. They rub very, very little. I have a full replacement bumper on the front, gives more forward clearance, if stock, I think you may have to trim. I know for a fact with the 2" leveling kit you will clear it.

35x12.50x17's will work on a stock truck with stock wheels with minor rub on both control arms at full lock.

Yep, been doing that for a while with my truck.. Works fine as long as you don't get carried away with locking the wheel when you turn.

you can fit 16's on a 3rd gen IF you install 02-00 caliper brackets and smaller rotors. your caliper will work on the earlier brackets. caliper brackets are about $59+/-

Ive got 315/75 R17's on my 03 3500 and i have 0 rub thats with aftermarket wheels. with stock wheels i had slight rub at full lock. very slight. stock wheels worked well with the 315's

Not if you listen to the tire mfg. But everybody does it. They are too narrow and will bow out the center of the 12.5" tire. Remember tread width might only be 10" or so, but total tire width is 12" or so.
