35's and rubb age

I just hammered on some 35" procomps mt on the stock chome rims, they rub when i cut er hard even on flat ground. If i hammer 1/2" or 1/4" wheel spacers on there would that work or are theyhard on wheel bearings.?

or will a leveling kit fix this.?

Well first of all when i had 35's with my leveling kit and stock rims they still rubbed on the arms it was only when i put different rims that it quit rubbing. I have 37's now and still have the leveling kit but i have all four fenders cut 2". and they only rub on the bumper a little. i am going to get rid of the bumper and put a pipe bumper on it.

The only way they wont rub is offseting the wheel out further, aftermarket wheels.

Only problem there is, the further you go out, the more its going to rub on the back of the wheel opening on the fender, and back side of the front bumper.
Im fine witha little rub at full lock on the upper control arm, I rarely go full lock and when I do its at slow speeds and hasnt really messed up the paint on the control arms or really any rub pattern on the tire.

A 1/2" spacer will most likely cure the rubbing but I don't know if I'd recommend it. The best fix is new wheels with a little less backspacing. With 17"x9" wheels 5.75"-6" backspacing is perfect. Good luck!

My 315/70/17s/stock wheels rubbed the control arm at full lock. I installed a set of 2" leveling spacers and that eliminated the problem.

I hope that helps!!!

Rubbing

I have 35 12.5 R17 Toyo Open country MTs and after installing 2 inch lift spacers they still rub slightly at full right turn, But considerably less than the previous state... Finally I can get a coffee in a drive through without driving over curbs.

I had this problem when I first got a lift and 35s. I originally had Pro Comp Steel 17x9s. The offset meant rubbing on the fender. I now have some MTs with more than stock offset but less then the Pro Comps. I want to say +4. No rubbing anywhere, anytime.

My tires don't rub at all but I have to keep the snow cleared out of there or it'll rip my mudflaps off.
