30,000 Miles

I just turned 30K on my 05 and while it was in the dealership to have the rear window resealed, they wanted me to get the 30,000 check up done. I asked what it included and did and they told me everything, $1200 after I added it all up......I just looked at tech and said "your kidding me, right?"

What does have to be done at 30k? I haven't pulled anything yet, all highway miles only.

Thanks
Bob

they'll probably change all the fluids, filters, flush the trans, and screw something up.
Do IT Yourself and save the money, and make sure its right.

Think it entails changing engine oil and filters, Tranny oil & filter and differentials at least. Probably a few other goodies. You can do most of the same for about $300 range if you are the least bit mechanical. Hardest is probably the differentals as if 4x4 front is difficult to get to. Did mine for about $60 in material (Mobil 1 synthetic) and let the dealer do the tranny as I didn't want any hassle with warranty on it from DC. Cost me $120 for tranny and transfer case to be done.

One thing i remember them saying was going over the valves and re-tightening them - that was $250 I think. Its was the diffs, trans and transfer case fluid changing.

Heck yeah they will!!! It's sooo funny you say that, I just had mine in the dealer for a/c, dash had to be pulled. I'm pretty sure everything that could have gone wrong, DID go wrong, I'm still sorting it all out
