I just saw that a 3 micron fuel filter was available from AFE. Thought I would
let you guys know about it, if you did not know.

This filter has been mentioned several times in the fuel filter posts. The D2 is 3 micron; however, it is not a fuel/water separator as per AFE. Given that information, this filter is not a viable option.

I believe that the Baldwin PF7977 is the best you can currently purchase for the OE canister.

 

OK, its the first time I heard of it. I might have read it and did not know what it was. I'm currently running the Baldwin filter in my 06.

It also is only 3um nominal, and 7um absolute.

The Baldwin PF7977 is 2um nominal and 5um absolute, as well as meets OE f/w specs.
