3:73 Vs 4:10 Gearing

Thanks For All The Info. I Do Live In The Rockies So I Think I'll Be Keeping The 4:10. I Like To Pull At (65 To 68 Mph) With (10 To 14 K). The Drivability Of 3:73 Does Sound Good For Commuting. Pulling In Fifth At 50-60 Mph At High Rpm Doesn't Excite Me.

Yeah, ditto that (the G having significantly lower 6th than the NV5600). 2200 at about 60 is about right for the G with 3.73, or as I put it a couple hundred RPM higher than my old truck with the NV5600 and 3.73.

If you went with the double overdrive 68RFE, though, with 4.10's it seems to have perfect ratio in 6 for empty freeway cruising, and 5th would work well for towing/hauling. That thing seems to me to be the first auto worthy of the cummins. Too bad you couldn't get the 6 speed auto with a 5.9...
