man it must be the stop and go traffic here in miami because Im replacing my pads this weekend and only have 43k

 

147,000 on stock front pads/rotors. I've had to change the rears though when the calipers froze.

 

I have a Jake that was put on at a 100 miles Brakes are like new 03 stick shift HOP Engine

 

275,000 and still some life left.
btw, I tow about 10,000 lbs daily.

 

I had the Jake Brake put on when it was new and the only reason I give the service brakes a touch when slowing down is so the lights come on. The pads should go for a long while.

 

I was just getting ready to start a new thread on pad life. My '04 has 83K on it. Today I did a service on it. Engine oil and filter, trans fluid and filter, fuel filter, rotate five tires and HAD planned on replacing the front pads. Bought a set of EBC greens. Well, the pads have at least half of their friction material left! Guess I'll just put the pads on the shelf. Someday I'll need 'em & they WILL be more expensive in the future.
