Did you take the rocker arm and rocker arm bridge off?

Yes I have. Can the piston have let loose and mushroomed my injector? Also I have only 70k miles on it no power adders.

Very doubtful anything came up high enough to hit the injector tip. Take the rocker box off the top of the head and use one of the intake horn bolts and lay one end of it across the head bolt next to the injector body and the other end across the flat "boss" at the back end of the head.....with the bolt resting this way you can hang a plain-tip screwdriver across the bolt and under the injector hold down.....simply press down on the handle and the injector should pop loose. Did all six of mine the other day using this method and popped all of them out in under 5 minutes.

Let us know how it goes.

So I have been trying your method and it still does not come out! Did I mention that the 9010a tool for this job broke when using it. If any one has any suggestions on top of using a screwdriver I am all ears! Is there any way to spin a little to break seal or what else can I try?
Again thank you for all inputs.

Not sure if removing both the intake and exhaust rockers will let you spin the injector or not....worth a try. Sorry to hear my backyard method didn't work for you. Oil can create quite a suction between 2 parts when trying to seperate them. Don't be afraid to put some elbow grease into trying to pull them.....just be careful not to break the solenoid on top of the injector body.

Maybe the bang was the injector tip cracking, and flaring itself out , making removal a real problem.

If the tip cracked the crankcase would fill up with fuel......did your oil level rise? If not then the injector should come out.

I used a two foot bar off the flat spot where valve cover goes down over the head.
