Your 11.5" AAM rear diff will take about 4.75 qts. of oil (9 1/2 pints). Like was mentioned before, Dodge does NOT recommend oil with a limited-slip additive for the AAM axles, neither front nor rear. Use a synthetic 75-90w gear lube oil. Personally, I stay away from the cheap stuff. You don't have to change it very often.

does the oil ever go bad? i have some left over from about 2 years ago, you guys think it will be still good to use now?
