Well i have 31000 on my truck now, was wondering when you guys are servicing your 6-speed transmissions. I have been told about 4 different stories on when to change. Any advice would be appreciated.

 

I may be wrong, but I believe in the owners manual it states 60000.

 

i planned on doing it again at 30k when i do both axles, i was gonna do the trans and tcase at the same time.

 

I did mine at about 25-30k but I think the manual says 60k. I am kinda hard on mine and went ahead an put royal purple in it. If I ever change it agian it will be at least another 60k if not more.

 

on my tow rigs we change it every 30k or 6 months book says 60 but if you tow it should be sooner

 

The manual, schedule B, has the tranny fluid being changed at 60K. Prior to that all the ticket timeframes say 'check'.

I do a lot of towing so I will be changing mine along with the recommended axle fluid changes. That's every 15K. The road heat here in the SW is hard on axles and trannys.
