2005 ram

hello,

have a 2001 HO and i think it is time to down size from the 8 foot bed to a new 2005 with the 6 foot bed.

i have put 60K on my current HO and know the issues to be aware of. my question what do i need to know about the 2005s? are the fuel lift pump problems resolved? what else do i need to be aware of, i live in california and want to buy with knowledge.

what is the tq and horsepower ratings of the 2005s? are the trucks sold in california rated at the same tq and hp?

give me your knowledge.

thanks,

david in socal

Best I "know" is to keep away from the new 6-speed tranny. The Dual Mass Flywheel setup is a problem ... and now DC has put a hault to all 6-speed tranny orders and recalled all shipments. You can only get an automatic in the new trucks till they figure out the (what appears to be), leaking 6-speed manual trannys.
