2005 model coolant change question

at 42K I took my truck in to have the trans serviced (drained, filter changed and refilled.

I ask the service manager about the coolant life, when to change it, they checked the coolant and said it was fine, just bring the truck in at 100K and they would change it out.

Issue: bought my truck used, 2005 model with 41K miles, so its now six years old with 49K miles, by the time i have 100K it will be ten or more years old.

Question:
should i have the coolant changed now or wait until i have 100k miles?

If you are worried about it, get it changed and move on. I had mine done at 80k cause it was 5 years old.

I know it is not the same as dexcool but they claimed 5yrs 100k no maintenance and got a plugged heater core on the wifes car for listening to them.

I never flush mine. I simply drain it and replace it with fresh Zerex G-05 and distilled water (mixed 50/50) about every 40K miles or so. (for me thats about every 2 years). Draining it like that doesn't get it all out, but it gets enough out that it keeps it like new and clear all the time. I usually get out about 4.5-5 gallons.
