2005 cummins 610?

I just found out that dodge released the 2005 cummins 325 hp 610 tq. Is this a new motor to replace the 600?. If so what are the changes? I have the 2004.5 600, is something wrong the 600 that caused them to change it again? As you can tell i,m a bit worried. Please someone tell me that it the same motor just dyno-d different.

Thanks

No it's just tweaked up another 10 pound feet to be abe to say it's more than Ford's new diesel coming out that hsa 605, which was meant to out-do the CTD 600.

Go here and read what I posted last week. The Dodge engineer told me it was going to happen and why (Ford w/605).

This will be fun to watch. Ford already has a very poor design in the 6.0. I find it almost comical that Ford is willing to attempt to squeeze more hp/tq out of an engine that apparently was not intended for such.

No matter, the faithful will line up to purchase the 6.0 with the BIG numbers. I'm glad Ford plays this game with the 6.0, makes for interesting reading over at thediselstopped.com. Some of the best free entertainment on the internet.

I'll stick with my inferior Dodge with the old tech in-line diesel motor.

600 vs 610 is like a burp in a tornado. You'd never notice it and to me its just advertising hype. I would bet there is absoloutly no difference either in mechanics or software between the 600 and the 610.

It's the D-max that is at 605 now....so Dodge kicked it up to 610.

My mistake.

I thought he said it was the Ford.

Must be the jet-lag....

Hey Big Red PSD, I lived out in Simi for a while back in the early '90s.

There's a hotel right of the First ave. exit, off 118. Back then it was a Ramada.

Almost went crazy in that hotel room for 6 months.

There used to be a comedy place called Cheers we'd go to, right off Los Angeles ave.

And then there's the Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas.

That place was great on Sunday afternoons. I met a famous actress there one Sunday. She was hammered! Pretty funny.

You people have some great weather out there but you probably already know that.
