2004 Carb?

What's the difference between the 2004 SO CARB (235hp) and the SO 49 state (250hp) besides hp and torque?

Can I make my CARB a 49 state somehow? I'm in Ohio and don't need CARB certification.

My guess is the CARB version has a different program and a cat converter.
Can always add a performance box or downloader to fix that issue.

Smarty's website says there programs will bring it to the same levels as the 49 state truck....... Of course you get the extra power too.......

Sweet! I never thought of looking there! My stock trans won't care about the extra power, I'd imagine. I guess the CARB is just in the programming, eh?

Well Im not sure if it is on the stock power level after further reading...... I do however know that on any of the extra power levels it is...... So just set it on the lowest level and you will be at normal stock plus lowest level tranny should be fine........ I wonder if a bullydog which rewrites the stock software would bring you to stock level all them time????? Try contacting Bob or Marco and if they say it wont then try bullydog or the other way around.......
