i need some help, had a knocking and white smoke with my truck was told it was my injectors, installed new ones, problem is, knocking worse and more white smoke, then was told ecm was bad, had mine checked its all good!! i am also finding out my truck is 2004.5 not an 04!!! called injector people was told the injectors i bought will work in my truck since its an early 04.5 which yes my truck is 305 hp, and not i dont have the sticker on the valve cover telling me anything done a VIN build sheet from dealer. also my turbo has an electric wastegate and fan shroud is hooked to motor, so what in the blue hell is going on with this truck, anyone ever had this happen. valve lash has been adjusted as well, new injector nozzles didn't get new harness but had old one ohm.

 

Just to add to the confusion....

I have an early 2004 305/555 engine. Just did my injectors...
The early injectors are different than the 2004.5 injectors.
Part number for the kit of 6 injectors for a 2003-2004 Cummins is: 5263318QX
Part number for the fuel tubes is 2872288 (You need 6)

I can't help with the white smoke and knocking....

Check the codes and post back with what you find.
