2003 RAM diesel 5.9L idle jumps 600-1100

When I put the clutch in (warm engine) the idle jumps between 6-1100RPM. Seems to be getting gradually worse. It actually died twice today. It's been going on for about a week. No engine codes. Any ideas??

if its dying you may check your ground on the passenger side of the motor.

Wouldn't hurt to put in a new fuel filter.
