2003 Injector install Questions?

Installing a set of 6 injectors and was wondering what the book time (labor) lists?
Also how do I remove the connector tubes without the tool? Is there a specific thread pattern bolt that can be used?

Thanks,
Robert

There is a proper tool, its not really needed. Most of the time the tubes can be pulled out with fingers. If not, you can needle nose type pilers. Just stay away from the threads from with pilers.

the tubes come right out if you have tough fingers no problem. Just grab it and wiggle it up/down as your pulling and it will pop right out. If there is a stubborn one use the needle nose carefully. The first time I did mine it was about a 6 hour job. I really took my time and inspected everything as it came out and set everything down in order. After that I realized you cant really screw anything up and it only takes me about 2 hours now. Get a couple nice soft pillows to put over your radiator top or you'll have a very sore belly from laying over it for about 3 days, get one for the bumper too for your knees or wear knee pads. Be sure to pay attention to what color wires go to each side of injector, there are two "sets" of colors, don't get them crossed. And be careful when tightening the nuts, Those are soft brass studs and you can strip them easy.

I had trouble with #1 injector and tube. I bought tool from snap on for tubes,
15.00 that included shipping. The others came out as stated above. I had same
problem putting #1 back in.
