2003 good or bad
Love my '03
I was real hesitant to buy the first year of a new model, but it's given me nothing but 3 years and 32,000 miles of smiles. Hope I'm not cursing myself, but other than regular maintenance I do myself, it hasn't spent ONE DAY in the shop (although I'll be needing ball joints). Even though it's an S.O. with the 47re, it will pull my 10,000lb toy hauler over our local grinding 5-7% summit at 70 mph (above the posted speed limit, and enough to keep up with normal traffic). It also consistently gets over 20mpg (hand calc.) on the highway empty. I couldn't be more pleased!
Ive changed the rear u joint at 54000 miles. Went ahead and changed them all except for the joints at the front axle.
Dealer changed the Cp3 at 34,000 I dont think it needed it. I think it needs a ps pump.
Changed the oil every 4000mi
fuel filter every 6000mi
I now have 60k and all is good

Same here 70,000 miles no problems at all. About 10,000 miles I grossed out over 26,000 lbs pulled the hills here in Texas and Ok no problem. Still have the same brakes no transmission problems. Bone stock except for the Mack Muffler. Same lift pump knock on wood. Keep MM oil and Power service or Lucas in it.
