but just to be sure, what is the first model year of the common rail Diesel injection system on CTD Rams and who makes it for Cummins?

Anyone have thoughts on why the GM Duramax trucks having so many more issues with injectors then the Dodge?

If both using Bosch injectors and both common rail now.

It's the fuel filter and water seperator set up believe it or not Dodges is better but could be improved more. Clean fuel is critical to injector life. I'm guessing the Dodge Cummins computer may also play into it a bit.

Also the Cummins has edge filters installed in the high pressure connector tube going to the injector.

the edge filters or injector connector tube don't need to be service. But if one ever changes any injector , the connector need to be replaced also.
