2003 2004.5 boost elbow

2003 2004.5 boost elbow
im looking for a new truck and im looking in the 2003 2004 and up years but i know that the 2004.5 and up turbos are to be better since you dont have to buy a boost elbow how can i tell if i have the newer style turbo or boost elbow and not the older type such as description and possibly pics thanks

305hp H.O is from 2003-2004 hx35 turbo manual wastegate
325hp H.O is from 2004.5-2007 hx40 electronic wastegate
