At 70 to 80 mph picking up gear noise thru sthift lever (man tran). If I push against the spring preload dissappears. Is this normal. This is more of a problem with my wife, her ears are more sensitive.

AAM is supposed to be out with a 3.42 r&p for 11.5 rears. Called distributor in NC last month and he said AAM is all screwed up because Ford pulled out and he can't get any parts. What's going on? Is anyone making a 3.42 or 3. something for this rear?

 

5 or 6spd?

I have been hearing rumors on the 3.40 range from AAM. I don't think Ford ever used AAM, they have their own, Sterling and Dana.

2006-6 speed. I know the guy said Ford- maybe had money in or some project or the guy was blowing smoke. The 3.42 is out and has a part number, just not avalible.
