17x10 inch rims on a 2005 3500
Quick question, just found a good deal on these barely used mht driv blitz rims, they are 8 bolt 17x10 inch, I wont have a chance to try them on the truck before I buy them, so I want to know if the 10 inch rim is going to stick out to far or if they will fit nicely without fender flares.
Thanks for the answers

It will depend on the offset if its the same as factory it wont be too bad if its more than factory then they will definitley stick out and probably rub the back of your fender well with anything taller than 33s
The rims came off a duramax with no fender flares, he said the front tires stuck out about 1,5 inches away from the fender, but those duramaxs front tires always tend to stick out a bit more than usual, so I am thinking that they will be fine on a dodge because we have allot more clearence on our trucks,
I thought the 10 inch was the offset of the rim, but I do not know much about that kind of stuff

me neither but I do know 10" is the width as opposed to the offset being how far they stick out from the hub, greater offset the more they stick out In essence a 10" wheel with the same offset as stock would stick out approx 2" farther than stock. I hope this makes sense and will maybe help you I'd buy them sounds like a good excuse for a leveling kit or a lift. Good Luck!
I bought 10" wide wheels off a 2500hd and they didnt stick out on his trk. I put them on mine and they stuck out pretty far. I had had 33s on they didnt rub with a leveling kit. I have a leveling kit on my trk now and no rubbing with 35inch tires on 8.5 wheel when they were on it. I was impressed.
Measure the backspacing and you should be able to figure it out comparing them to the stockers. My 17x10's have 4.5" backspacing, stockers are 8" wide and I think 6" backspacing. So, 2" for the width and a 1.5" less backspacing = they stick out 3.5" more than the stockers.
I re-read your post, look around on the web for those wheels so you can find the specs on them.
Also, I'm running 5" of lift with 35's and I personally like the way they look better than my 37" tires with 9" wide rims and 5" backspacing, they are tucked in an 1.5" more. Trucks I've seen with no lift and a bunch of tire sticking out tend to look pretty crappy, in my opinion

im running 20x8.5 wheels now and they dont stick out much at all. I had the 10" wide wheels and they throw everything down the side of the truck and the windows, hood, bed. you get the idea. it was very hard to keep clean
