The stock 17" rims barely clears the calipers so there's no way a 16" can. Unless smaller rotors and calipers are installed.

What about a steel 16.5 rim??

Steel rims are thinner on the inside so they may work but I've never tried it.

Doubt it or Dodge would have stuck with the 16's

just that, 17", you can get 16.5 to fit, but why. you would have to grind alot of caliper meat off to clear, and 16.5's are old school

16.5's are slowly but surely becoming dinosaurs. There's less availability of tire choices each month it seems.

Yes they will, but not without grinding a lot of media off the calipers. I don't recomend it on a heavier truck. The guys I know that I know that did it swapped AAM axles into last body style 1/2 ton Rams that were used for off-road mostly.

Better question

any body know where we can find impliment rims that will hold 17" tires

when they were 16" that was great a continous supply of Ag-trailer tires that worked out great.
