06 Serpantine Belt Replacement

I am installing a Jake exhaust brake inn my new megacab and am having problems installing a new serpantine belt. I have a diagram show the correct belt routing. Other than just a new pulley above the pump on the left side of the engine compartment there is no difference from the stock belt routing. I am having a problem envisioning where to correctly start the belt. I was working on the truck until about midnight last night and am sure that I was just way to tired to even be seeing straight. Could someone help clarify? Thanks.

I guess you know after installing the Jake, it takes a longer belt.

Does the Jacobs unit use a mechanical vacuum pump? I thought all the exhaust brakes had an electric pump????

Thanx

These serpentine belts are a pain.
Just take your time and if you get frustrated leave it for later.

Yes Jacobs uses a vacuum pump run off a (longer) serpentine belt and a vacuum operated piston to actuate the exhaust valve. Others us compressed air to operate the piston and these have small electric compressors, or at least the ones I've heard of.
