06 Mega hesitation
06 Mega hesitation
Been reading this forum for months. You guys are really good. My 06 w/10000 miles seems to be hesitating when pulling my camper. Especially noticeable at 60-70 mph. Oil and fuel filters changed at 5000 and about to be changed again at 10000. Used Genos parts. No mods to the truck. I'm nervous about taking to the dealer, any ideas. By the way, I love the truck.
hesitation
My truck is doing the same thing.06 Mega cab.It has been doing it since 6000 miles.Mine does it so bad I can hear a drivetrain clunk when it happens. It happens almost everytime I pull the trailer but I can go for 2 or 3 days sometimes without incedent.Really hard to bring it to the dealer when you cant repeat the problem on command. My truck normally does it aound 60 to 70 mph also and the rpm dont change when it does it.I have thrown one code which was p0088.Please pm me if you figure out the problem.I will do the same.I wish it would just break so I could get it fixed. It is getting worse so maybe It will give soon.

Does it happen to be cold where you are ? I can't say that this is the problem but, I have an 07 that had the same problem. I do have some boxes but knew that's not where the problem was.
I assume since the temp stayed well below freezing but not below 0, I had some gelling. Using ULSD fuel can have that effect easier than the USD from what I've been told. I thought I used some Stanadyne as I usually do but must have forgot this time.
I spitted and puttered until I got back home. Poured in some Stanadyne went back out for a drive. It stall leaving my drive way but, after restarting it hasn't had a problem.
I had the same code 0088 and have assumed the gelling may have caused high fuel pressure somehow ( I could be wrong ). So, cold weather could have been the culprit?
