my dads 06 die's when he starts it in the morning.takes a couple of times to get it running and it finally runs.left it idling the other day while getting trailer loaded and it died and took a couple try's and got it going again.any help would be appreciated.truck has 270,000 miles and is all factory.

 

Need to check fuel pressure from lift pump.
Maybe FCA, not sure if you can test it. When was last filter change?

 

fuel filter gets changed every 4 to 5 thousand miles with oil.dealer said something about the fuel pressure switch or something.said its on the fuel rail.gonna check it out for him this weekend.will let you know what i find out.thanks for the response.
