Mechanically, it should be the same as an 04.5 or 05 truck.

Mine turned 280hp/528 torque last summer while still factory stock with factory air and exhaust.

I'll go out on a limb and say 325/600.

It is a 325/600. 2004.5 truck with 48RE, 3.73 gears.

The dyno was a dynojet and I ran it in overdrive on about a 101 degree day. The truck was factory stock at the time.

The week prior I ran it in 3rd gear on a different dynojet and it only netted 264/502. So it seemed to do better running it in 4th gear, when I turned the 280/528 the following week.

The 600 and the 610 are the same thing.

DC called it a 600, then when Duramax came out with the 605 torque, DC called ours a 610. It was just a marketing thing. They were holding back their "rating". If there were any differences at all before, it was taken care of with a "reflash". Mechanically, they are the same engine from 04.5 thru the current 06 trucks.

Thumbs up

TexasCTD, also, two different dyno's on two different days can yield totally different results. 280/264 and 528/502..not too bad a difference considering. Kinda' like flow benches. 300 cfm on Bob's and 280 cfm on Fred's. Would be nice to see what the numbers would say between 3rd and OD, on the same dyno on the same day. Yes I had a feeling the 600/610 was on paper only. I did see a dyno read out from Cummins on the 600/610 series and it was more than what they rate it. Don't remember exact numbers ... I believe 335 and 630 something. Thanks for the info guys. Terry.

Also, those dyno numbers were 'in' house numbers. Fly wheel numbers. Terry.

Right! Yeah I expected some "driveline" loss. I am pleased with the 280 number for a stock truck so I guess that shows about 45ish hp loss going through the tranny and drivetrain to the rear wheels. But I do believe it helped running the truck in 4th gear as opposed to 3rd. I am looking forward to dynoing again soon and see if the AFE stage 2 and exhaust upgrades help any. I would be very happy to just break 300. Later, after fuel and tranny upgrades, I will be adding some real power to it as my warranty fades away and i save some funds.
