'06 3500 ?s
I have a '06 3500 QC dually g56. I have ranch hand full rep bumpers f&r, factory exh -cat and muffer delete, AEM Brute Force intake, Edge EZ chip, and about 500-600 lbs of tools and supplies in a toolbox in the bed. I was wondering if 12-15 mpg is about what I shoud expect to get out of it or if i shoud look into something else.
I also have read about a ticking noise you hear around the lower front of the driver door. I hear the same noise about 75% of the time. The performance is the same with or without the noise. I have taken it to 2 dealerships and 2 diesel engine shops, but everyone tells me everything is ok. One guy told me I have an injector starting to plug up or get dirty, but shouldn't it throw a code since they are elecronically controlled, or effect the performance? just seeing if anyone ever found out what the problem was that is if I have a problem.

How many miles?
After 44k, my '06 gets ~14.5mpg in town and bests 19mpg empty on the road.
However, I am not hauling tools and weight around all the time. That will eat away at your mpg.

it has just roled over 39k. I know the tools and bumpers take up mpg, but I never know what i am going to need in the pasture or the field (the bumpers are to keep the cows from bumping into the frt end and caving it in)
