05 smoking bad and using oil

OK guys a few weeks ago I made a post about my dads 05 using some oil well a lot of oil and smoking a lot. Well I told him to try changing his oil he was running synthetic now hes running rotella im not sure if it still using oil or not but I drove it today and I noticed it smokes in the upper rpm ranges. Yeah it puts out a puff when you shift but if you keep your foot somewhat down near 2500-2800 it makes a very large cloud about the size of the truck. As much as my 97 could make. This truck is stock with a south bend clutch anyone have any ideas?

Possibly turbo or map censor related? Are you sure its oil and not unburnt fuel?

Check first to see if he is getting a code by turning the key to the start position 3 times. If the monitor reads none then you have no codes. If you have a code write down the numbers a check back. To check the turbo I would remove the intake and check for any chipped or missing blades then check for spline movement. Also check for any loose electrical connections going into the turbo (Censor and Electronic Wastegate Connections
