OK I won't be biased - I vote '05

I'm pretty sure '05 Mega Cabs were all 1500's so I guess an '06 will have to do.

I like the 05's too but i dunno maybe the trade off for bigger lights but not as nice of interior in the 06 is better?
a guy in town bought a MC 1500 in 06. but i swear it was a 2500, was physically as big, and had 3/4 tons wheels. he traded it in mid 07 and got a MC 6.7 diesel 2500. But that 1500 MC sat on the lot a whole year before it got bought(summer 08) dam that must suck for the dealers?

The 1500 MegaCab is pretty much a 2500. Same platform.

I dont know what the changes were, other than going to CANBUS, but there is something that changed in how the injectors are fired I believe. 6/06 is the cutoff, found on the sticker on drivers' door jamb.

You can still make lots of power on the late 06 and 07s. Theres just different programming that needs to be done. Theres absolutely no reason to avoid a late 06 or 07 because of that. You can make just as much power as the other trucks, just depends on how deep your pockets are...
