Sounds like the torque convertor is staying locked.

does the engine keep a rev? or does it idle down and still push the truck?

I'm so used to handshakers I think a locked up torque convertor sounds about right. He was telling me it was revving up but his friend told me it sounds like the motors bogging down but pushing the truck through the brakes.

I can't do a search with my iPhone can anyone tell me what the code is?

Thanks!!

I believe the TC is only supposed to stay locked up in 3rd and 4th gear only. What sensor tells the computer which gear the truck is in?

Thanks

Funny this has come up. On the road today, my truck "beebed" a few times. Then it beeped and came out of Cruse, and then sped back up.
The Brake and ABS light came on.

I checked for codes when i re-fueled and it gave me a P code and listed "Invalid Skim Key"

This is the second time it has happened. The last two times the truck owould not start. One of those times I also think I had gelled fuel.

The fist time the dealer reprogrammed the key/security system.....

I was starting to narrow it down to the Turbo Timer, which has acted up at times, as it did today.

Do you happen to have a timer on yours???

Not my truck trying to help a friend with his. His truck is 100 percent stock with 110k on the odometer.

From the symptoms I have to say 100 to 1 it's the TC not unlooking. Now I just need to figure out which sensor(s) control the lock up of the TC.

More than likely it is not a sensor. It could be something blocking the bleed off passage for the torque convertor in the valve body, if you are lucky.
More than likely it is the torque convertor itself, or the front pump cover has warped.
