Hey everyone,
Last week when i got back into town from heading up in the mountains I stopped to top off the tank. I put a little over half a tank in (from a station that I have used before) and called it a day. About 1/4 of a tank later the truck seemed to be running different. It seemed a lot quieter on start up, really seemed quiet at WOT and did not seem like it had the power it usually does. I checked the fluids and all the levels were normal. So I ordered a new fuel filter thinking that it might be clogged. It got here yesterday and when I put it in today there was no difference. Truck still seemed to run crappy. I checked for codes (3 cycles of the key, and holding the odometer reset button, right??) and got nothing at all. If i held the odo reset button and only cycled the keys once it flashed C-Code, then 67 16, then 00 00. not sure what that means. any help or idea would be greatly appreciated guys.

you do not have to hold the odo button to get the codes, just cycle the key three times and watch, when it is finished it will display "done" if I read what I read, this is a fresh motor courtesey fo Dodge ? how many miles on it and good gosh, get it to the dealer in as near stock trim/ programming as you can, and let them figure out what is wrong again.

 

Yeah its pretty fresh...i have only put 4000 on it since they put it in. Now that i am taking classes again, the truck doesnt get driven much till it warms up. As for programmers, downloaders and all that it has nothin on it. just the intake and muffler delete pipe that it had on it when i bought it used. I kinda figured i would need to take it back in again but wanted to make sure there was not somethin stupid i had missed. It is kinda a pain to take it back to the dealer though since i purchased the truck in NE. The local dealer isnt very friendly or helpful, so i have to drive it down to cheyenne for work

Do you know what it is showing me if I hold the odo reset button and only cycle the key once?? when i do it all the gauges jump in slow intervals till they have completed a full rotation and then the truck flashes C-Code, then 67 16, then 00 00. Is that just what they all do? and nothin to worry about??

 

thats a dash bulb check, so ya can see that they are all working, or not.
