O.K. now that I have your attention. How many of you are using 2 stroke oil in your fuel and how many miles using it.

The reason I'am asking is to gather some information on 2 stroke oil use in fuel and if there is any cat problems associated with it's use.

Thanks,
Ron

Been using 2 stroke for about 2,000 miles now. Increased MPG by about 1 and decreased engine idle noise. No Cat took it out so no problems.

One thing I have noticed is that on my 06 which is fussy starting in and around freezing- the two stroke made it worse. No more 2 stroke for me. Only Howes now.

been using 2 stroke for past 10K...upped my mileage by about 1 mpg and made the engine quieter and smoother. Whatever you do, just dont use synthetic. I use Pennzoil premium grade or walmarts brand. either will work fine.

if you are gonna run 2 stroke, ensure it is the ashless type. Otherwise you might have some issues.

I use and have been using Stanadyne Performance and just started adding Wall mart 2 stroke at the same ratio as the Stanadyne. MPG might be up 1/2 mpg and might be running a little smoother. No problems. Bone stock.

My only concern is using 2 stroke oil in a vehicle with a cat for many miles. Trying to guage if there is any damage done to the cat over extended mileage use.

I pretty much know about MPG increase and maybe better lubrication for the fuel system.

I'am trying to find out information on the long term effects of using 2 stroke oil in our fuel system and the inherient risk for the cat.

I've been using TCW-3 ash less 2 stroke oil for about 10,000 now with no problem, Get it by the gallon at Wally World. I was using MMO but decided 2 stroke was cheaper. I use 8oz 2 stroke & 8oz PS per tank (25gal.) But now I'm trying 4oz Howe's & 8oz 2 stroke per tank. Haven't seen any problems of yet, but you do a lot of research bluebull and that is a good thing, keep it up.

And yes I still have my CAT.

I use valvoline 2 stroke and PS. 15 oz of 2 stroke and 15 oz of PS per 35 gallons od fuel. Truck starts easier and runs a little smoother

Very interesting, no oils used and a bad kitty. What was the symtems that lead you to discover your cat was plugged? I can assume but you know what they say about assuming, makes an ***-u-me. Just had to throw that in there, I love that saying.

Sever loss of power towing. Very hot turbo!! No codes thrown. My old 03 ferd at least threw a code for excess boost when it choked it's kitty.

Had to poke holes in the system just in front of the Kat to get the exhaust out and limp home.

However, while doing that, it blew out 3 exhaust gaskets and cracked the exhaust manifold just on top of the turbo. Had to replace the exhaust manifold too.
