Exclamation 04.5 Lift Pump P0628

Hello,

Haven't posted in a while. I've got an 04.5 with ~80 k on the clock. Last night the truck stumbled, ran for approximately 10 minuts more then died. Code P0628 "Fuel Pump "A" Control Circuit Low" so I'm assuming this has to do with the lift pump. No, I don't have a fuel pressure guage.

Is this really the lift pump or can it be the control circuit for the fuel pump?

Anyway, question is:

How many of you have had issues with the replacement in-tank pump?

Thanks in advance.

Retrofit fuel pump replaces pump on fuel filter housing. Call Dodge dealership to run your vin, covered under Cummins warranty.

Causes:
WIRING HARNESS
TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) Fuse Pannel
FUEL LIFT PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO EXTERNAL VOLTAGE
FUEL LIFT PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
FUEL LIFT PUMP GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
FUEL LIFT PUMP GROUND CIRCUIT SHORTED TO EXTERNAL VOLTAGE
ECM

Check fuses/relays and the condition of the connection @ the LP

That was the death code for my pump. Dodge replaced it this year with 79k on the odometer under the Cummins emission warranty at no charge to me.

If Dodge does not replace it, PM me. They should, tho.

Never heard of an ECM problem unless a programmer was involved...
