If you buy a boost gauge from Geno's it's free.

Both places sell them, just remember if you just buy the gauge most places won't give you the boost bolt, it's a seperate part. I've got a question though since it seems to be on topic with the original post. You guys are saying stock you are not even hitting 30 boost? With my bullydog on 2, no boost eblow or anything done like that and I can hit 35 boost, probably could go more but that's when I let off. Or is the bullydog doing something to let the boost go higher? I don't see the advantage of higher boost when without doing anything like this i'm hitting the max boost for the stock turbo?

04.5 and newer have an electronic wastegate. The bullydog allows it to reach higher pressures before opening the wastegate by using a different boost/map table. The 03-04 trucks have mechanical wastegates.

Don't think so. Geno's is affiliated with the TDR.

Just got my boost elbow put on. Ill have to get another clamp though. I cant reuse that one. The instructions say to leave it as set (all the way in). Will that be bad for the engine??

I just removed the wastegate hose and plugged it with a screw get better boost. Was that a bad idea; its been that way for 2 years now. 38 psi is the most I have seen.

Thumbs up

I think you did what I did without the adjustable elbow. Plugging the hose will get you max boost. Im considering going with an '05 turbo for a few more good PSI.

The stock turbo is at its efficiency limits around 30-32 psi. Its super heated air after that point and you probably wont see any benefit from that extra 6-8 psi. I can't imagine you hold it there long enough to hurt it.
