03 sound like a 12 valve

03 sound like a 12 valve

just got 6 new injectors from dealer 1 week ago and a in tank lp. started this mourning and it sounded like a 12 valve and then cleared it self up. also later in the day the truck had a dead pedal and truck died, but started back up like nothing happend. checked for codes --- none--- any ideas out there?

One or two people have had a bad harness put in when the LP was upgraded to the in tank unit. Intermittent issue due to bad connection/loose wire.

12 valve sound happens for a little bit when cold to me. Not as bad as a 12 valve, but has a similar sound. Has to be pretty cold though for mine. As for the dead pedal........apps would be about the only thing? Should have set a code though.

mine has started to do that this winter. i dont remember it happening last winter though. not sure if i should worry or not. i read a post somewhere about it possibly being air being purged from the system? i have no idea all i know is that it disappears in a couple seconds.

Interesting you mention that. I've never heard about it from anyone else but it happened to me a couple weeks after it was installed. It's been good over a year since the dealer wiggled the connector.

Mine sounds like this when it's cold out, but goes away when the engine starts to warm up.
