03' Auto Tranny Question

With Key set to first click it shows the tranny is in Park... But when you turn the key to the point before starting the Park light disapears??? Oh yeah and the reverse lights are on?? We've played with the Linkage and it doesn't seem to be the problem.. the truck will start when put in Nutural ...but it will not while in Park... Could the Module near the shift linkage on the tranny be bad???? When I wiggle the harness the reverse light go off ... but it still won't show Park??? Help??

Sounds like it....unless you have aa pin connection problem...look for corrosion at the connector....also , has the pcm connector harness seal recall been done. I found corrosion in a pcm harness that could not have been seen until the connector was opened up...was all green, caused trans problems and about 8 hours of my time.

Try tapping very lightly on the accelerator cable bracket which is mounted on the trans. I forget which way but that solved the same problem on my truck a couple years back. Tap lightly because although it seems like it's not doing anything, it really is. Tap-test. Tap-test.

When I pulled the connector away from the Module it had Tranny fluid in it, could that have anything to do with it?? If it where in the harness could the module be full also??? And would that effect anything???
