03 6spd fluid change, when??

I noticed in my manual it does not have a recommended interval to change/flush the six spd, but when I asked the dealer he stated it HAS to be done at 50k, 75k and every 25k after, is this right and the book just missed it?

I have the service book, and I read in there somewhere that the 6 speed does not require routine oil changes. The owner's manual also does not list an oil change.

I (and several folks out there) have switched to synthetic with good results. I run Redline MTL in mine. Dealership will want a fortune for their fluid, which rumor has it is only Pensoil synchromesh.

If you change fluid, pull off one of the PTO cover plates so you can reach in and get the magnet out of the bottom of the transmission case to clean it... No gasket, use RTV sealant to reinstall.

I just bought mine with 25k and it SHOULD have been changed already. It's really dirty and sticks. I made the dealer top it off and that little bit of fresh lube made a difference in shifting. Craig
