03 5.9 Help needed
Hi all,
I have a 2003 cummins 5.9 and have been experiencing some odd electrical issues that I haven't been able to figure out. Started with a "lamp out" chime and a left blinker blinking fast but still working. Checked all bulbs they are good. Bulb circuit boards I replaced not too long ago. I traced and tested the wires looking for a short and was unable to find anything. I put dielectric grease on all the tail light bulbs and put things back together. The lamp out chime and fast blinker resolved but then I no longer had right side tail running lights or license plate lights. Then I went to unlock the truck and power locks were not working when ignition was off and my stereo also wasn't working.
I'm not the most savvy with electrical related issues but also don't want to bring it to a shop and pay for something that could be a simple fix.
Anyone have any ideas? Anything helps!
Thanks,
Jens

That is an odd pile of symptoms. The light issue I’d maybe guess the connectors under the rear of the frame.
The door locks don’t work when the truck isn’t on, but work when it is? I’d be wondering about sketchy ground, or there were some threads about the ignition switch and related wiring overheating/getting crispy.

Do a googler search for Dodge FCM
