hello,

had a 24 valve '01 CTD and when starting i would get a puff of black smoke. with my '05 i get a puff of white smoke. took it to the dealer and they told me the transfer tubes were lose. they did a tsb #14-003-06. they told me they tightened all transfer tube nuts and did a rerun flow test. injectors flow at 145 ML.

not sure what this is but still have a puff of white smoke upon start up. after the test i took a 100 mile trip and the truck ran fine.

my question for you techs is this. is the puff of white smoke on start up normal and is the injector flow at 145 ML normal? started fine but the idle was a bit rough, not bad but a bit rough.
