Just wondering what is a reasonable price for a windshield and install?

Around the edmonton area the price seems to range from 180$ to 200$, could be another 20$ or so added if thay cant re-used the trim. not sure if you have the same issues south of us, but apparently there is China made glass, that some installers use that is very prone to "sand blasting" it pits much easier than the "domestic" made glass, so ask where/what type of glass they are installing

 

Seems there is Chinese everything that has zero life expectancy. The shop here is doing our 98 CTD and our little z71 for $300 total..

i just had mine replaced for nothing. the glass co i use waived the deductible because they needed the work

 

Allot of shops will do that because they need work. They just have bumped there price up in the first place to cover it so basically insurance covers it then.

 

Original quote was $180 for Dodge and $170 for Silverado. Package deal if both were done same day for the $300 and tax...hopefully it is durable glass.

 

Here in Central Texas the norm is around $175.00, using PPG glass. The only issue I had was when my rear view mirror fell off after about two years.

 

I had mine replaced, good glass, for $220, here in Virginia.

Both glass is PPG so I guess the combined price of $300 is reasonable..

Not only did my local glass shop waive the deductible they also gave me a $100 gift certificate for the local supermarket.
I basically got paid to replace my windshield.
