Where to buy coil springs?

Where is a good place to order front coil springs from? I want original length.

I bought from Dodge, I get a good price from the dealer, I went with heavier springs than the factory, very happy with them

+2 on this!

Get a softer spring rate than what you have now and good shocks and it's amazing what difference it makes in ride. I originally wanted harder, but was talked out of it by "cowhand" who has lots more suspension knowledge than me.

And I'm SOOO glad I listened. Been happy with the CSS coils for years now. The bilsteins tho... I need new ones - they didn't last.

It really depends on what you use your truck for and if you ever pull heavy do you want your front end overloaded

sorry bud but I dont follow this logic?? if you load your truck heavy the front end will lift, NOT drop and overload the front,

I haul freight for a living in my truck, at any given time I have 2500# in the bed. I used to have stock springs, they were junk, rode like a buck board, and put 2500# in the bed and the suspension would drop 6-8 inches, with the carli springs(rear) 2400# I dropped 2.5inches (that was scaled weight)

Carli now sells the Hemi springs for the second gens, as in my case I was given the wrong (diesel springs) and even though they were the wrong ones, it was a huge improvement over stock. months later I got the correct springs and mine now rides like it should have from the factory, I think it rides just a hair firmer than a chev with IFS.
I agree with the above posts about getting a softer rate spring .mine are multi rate, so the further they are compressed the spring rate increases, I can lay into a turn, say an off ramp, and the truck will not lean, yet hit bumps/rail way tracks and hardly feel them,even expansion joints are no longer an issue, dont feel them. the carli springs are susposed to give 10inches of wheel travel, the stiffer the spring rate the less wheel travel is avaliable

Coil spring questions answered

This is one of my old posts about coil springs. Buy from the dealer!!!

I did it!! I changed the coil springs and isolators today. It is great!!! No more bouncy, bottoming out, drink spilling, speed bump fells like a wreck driving truck. I'm very impressed and had better results than expected.

Guys, it even leveled my truck. Right now, I gained 1.75 " in the front. I'm expected to lose .5" due to the settling in the rubber isolators. The truck handles awesome!

What I did, replaced the old coil springs with new heavy duty oem coil springs with higher weight capacity. Basically put cab chassis springs in a 2500. 3500s could be the same as 2500, depending on plow package etc.

Driver Side:
Before, 039 After 048 (part# 52039048)


Passenger Side
Before 038 After 047 (part# 52039047)
I also replaced the sway bar bushings at the axle with Energy Suspension.

I highly reccommend this for a better riding and handling truck. I do have bilsteins shocks in front and crappy monroes in the back.

In the past, 2500 and 3500 Diesels came with any of the following combination of springs:

046 039 2500 &3500 reg cab manual w/ tow package and snowplow prep

047 046 2500 QC 6 speed w/ tow, camper, and snowplow prep 2001
048 047 '98 3500 ISB Chassis Cab w/ tow, aux rear springs, plow prep, manual
