Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
Has anyone actually done this? I just ordered my "Heater Treater" today and was looking for first hand knowledge/experience.

I don't have your answer as I just ordered one as well but curious to hear about any first hand experience. Mine acts just like the OP full hot or full cold no in between and a clicking noise.

I had Similiar issues as described above...thinking how in the world is this device (heatertreater) going to fix my hot/cold blend door issue. After reading and reading on here, I ordered and replaced the little plastic blend door part. All works as it should and blends like new....= happy camper.

Heater treater doors are the best! Not cheap, but the factory doors will only break again. The Heater treater guy is good to work with also. You can call him on the phone and discuss your particular problem. I would recommend replacing all the doors as you already have things apart. The dodge factory stuff is really brittle plastic that the electric servo motors break and the foam is bottom line cheapest too. These truck allow hot coolant into the cab area and if your blend doors are not sealing well you will not get the optimal cooling from the system. The heater treater doors are metal and will not break, and come with an excellent sealing and insulating type foam. I think the amount of heat that can be conducted past them is much less than the factory foam. I pulled the dash, removed the HVAC, and replaced all the doors in my truck. It's a time consuming job, but this is a problem area for the Dodge Ram trucks and I don't think I will have to revisit this problem ever again with the Heater Treater doors. (IMO, this should have been a recall) For the first time, I now have all the AC/heater controls working as they should. The wife, the kids are very happy campers now.

(pretty decent video of taking the dash out)

Well put in the heater treater today on my 01. I was able to get the motor out of the way without taking the back screw out. Just undid the front front one, carefully pulled down on the motor to disengage the coupler and swung it out of the way. No problem. I did run into a problem putting it back on though. So I ended up unscrewing the rear screw. Though in hindsight I probably could have got it done. I was trying to put the coupler back on upside down and in my haste decided to unscrew the rear screw. It really wasn't that hard though with one of those little right angle screwdrivers. Got it all back together and recalibrated and thought what the heck nothing but heat no cool air at all. So I go back down on the floor to pull it out to see how I could have screwed it up and realize I forgot to plug the plug back in doh I hate that. Plugged it in and hot and cold air and everything in between. Having done it now could probably do it again in ten or fifteen minutes. My original coupler was cracked off center down both sides no wonder it didn't work and made the clicking noise after seeing it makes total sense.

I know this is an old post, but I have a 99 Ram 2500 and it has a 3 pin plug. Both blend door motors I have got I am seeing are 4 pin units. Neither motor will do anything when it is plugged into the plug, BUT both motors will work when they are on a bench with power sent directly to the motor.
Is there a way to get the 4 pin motors to work with a 3 pin plug OR, any sources for a 3 pin motor?
