That's a banjo bolt, search it and find out if that line is under high pressure before tampering with it for your own safety....

How do I tell if it’s under pressure?
the line just runs from the back of the pump as pictured to the top of the fuel filter housing

That looks like the supply line to me.

So it should be only under the pressure of the lift pump which would be about 30 PSI.
Open it while the motor is NOT running and you should be okay.

^^^ This... It is present on a 12-valve in a Dodge, but may come in from a different angle. I was going to look on AllDataDIY to see what angle the supply line comes in at, but the site seems to be down at the moment

I believe the biggest danger is getting a hydraulic injection under the skin and or a spray in the face...The newer common rail injection systems run at upwards of 30K psi....the older ones 10-35 psi....

The OP's pic is of the supply line, and just confirmed that the routing in the pic is exactly how it is routed on a 12-valve - just went out and looked under the hood of my truck. As Oliver says, there's really no danger as long as the truck isn't running when you try to remove it.
